I seriously hoped that part of the noises I heard in my van on the way to Texas were truly JUST IN MY HEAD… because there were certainly times I was STRESSING a wee bit (heavy traffic, chattering girls, lots of sudden braking and … do NOT even get me started on the spaghetti roads!) [...]

Today, my hubby arrives in Austin around noon and we’ll be heading home shortly thereafter. We’ve had a fabulous time but holy moly… I miss my hubby. And my dogs. And my own computer.

Monday arrived with sort of loose plans to go shopping… in no hurry and on no set schedule. As we were eating breakfast - the plans changed a little. Shannon somehow managed to swallow her temporary crown (and although I assured her she’d find it again later… hehehe) she quickly got on the phone [...]

Sunday was a beautiful day…. full of laughter and friendship, puzzles and swimming, tea party lunches and Jane Austen. It’s fabulous that after all this time of Shannon and I being friends - both of us hoping and praying that our daughters would find friendship as well - to actually watch that come to fruition. We stayed just outside of Dallas last night and drove the rest of the way today…
