I went to Target and got the ant traps, some kind of perimeter spray, and some stuff that looked like coffee grounds. Haven't seen any ants since inside my apt and this is my 3rd summer here! The rain probaly has a lot to do with it- their colonies are below ground & filled with water, so they're heading for high ground. The ones in TX? Last night it was pretty big and it looked like they were preparing for WWIII they were so busy moving about that I thought enough already! Couldn't find anykind of bug spray in the garage but I did find some WD40 and a lighter. Do I need to explain more? I know you have pets in the house so I don't know if you can use this but here I've used a product called Terro. You put a small drop on cardboard and the ants flock to it. Icky, but they take it back to the hill and are never seen again! Good luck! What is it about crawling bugs that it just makes us feel dirty? Echh!
