Banana Split Cake

A sweet patient brought this dessert to the office one day a few weeks ago and we all LOVED it! I begged her for the recipe and she finally sent it to me. I’ll be making it this Thanksgiving becomes it seems easy and I KNOW it’ll be yummmmmmmy. So…. just in case you’re looking for a last minute dessert for Thanksgiving, here ya go:
Banana Split Cake
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
2 – 8oz cream cheese
1 large can crushed pineapple, heavy syrup
4 to 5 bananas
1 large cool whip, thawed
1/2 cup chopped nuts
cherries to garnish the top
Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, pat into bottom of 13″ x 9″ x 2″ dish. Mix sugar, cream cheese and 4 heaping tablespoons of cool whip. Spread over graham cracker crust. Layer drained crushed pineapple over cream cheese mixture, and then sliced bananas over the pineapple. Cover with cool whip. Garnish with cherries and nuts on top. Refrigerate.
