Yes, it is still me. Just stripped bare of all the pretties I had worked so hard to create.

You remember the comment glitch I’ve been harping on for DAYS? Well, after unsuccessfully trying to correct it - leading up to today when NO comments were coming through… I decided to take the bull by the horns and do what all the WP experts suggested - upgrade to the latest Wordpress version.

I sat here and diligently followed the tutorial. Reading and rereading and double checking before each step of the way. And… suddenly, my blog was lost. Gone. Poofed into non-existence. I cried and pulled my hair out and layed in the floor and threw a massive hissy fit (so glad the girls were not here to witness that ordeal!) and was getting ready to just walk away for the night.

I seriously bowed my head and said a prayer, asking the Lord to help me walk away (without throwing up) and saying that if this was His way of telling me I was spending entirely too much time on the computer - I guess I could learn to cut back. Or well, I’d TRY anyway. As I was closing out windows, I happened to notice on my gmail that there was a glimmer of hope. A little green dot of hope.

I haven’t been using gmail for long at all and just noticed those little dots indicate when someone (one of your contacts) is online. There, just as plain as day, was Jessica from Delicious Design Studio. I sent her a message and her quick reply: “Hey! I was just looking at your email!” I had emailed her several times over the past few weeks, trying to decide if I wanted her to design my blog or if I was willing to keep plugging away at it myself. She had a nice little chuckle over my predicament and went right to work to get me up and running again! Thank you a million times over Jessica for taking the time to help a tee-total doofus such as myself. And, I suppose ya’ll know, she and I will again be talking about if she can hopefully do a total redesign on my blog. What’s funny, I was just starting to be satisfied with what I’d been doing! lol But… I think I need to just accept the fact that I don’t have a friggin CLUE what I am doing and call in the professionals!

So, again, I just ask that you hang with me while Lucky Dorito undergoes MORE changes in appearance. At least my commenter is working again! Yippee-kai-ay!! And I am so glad too because I’ll be posting the last of our wonderful *Mom-stories* on Friday and I know how difficult it was for her to write. So, come check it out!
