Dorky Dory ♥

I am a dork.
We all know that, right?
I don’t even mind being a dork because… well, if you can’t beat ‘em, you join ‘em, right?
I know I am a dork because last week, while in the lovely city of Orlando, you know what I did?
I sat in class after class and I crocheted coasters.
Lots and lots of coasters.
You know what’s really sad?
I brought them home to add to the stack I’d already done before I left.
And you know what else is really sad?
If I’d had more yarn with me, I’d have made more.

Stacyon 11 Aug 2010 at 6:28 am 1I love them. What great Christmas presents they will make. Perhaps you can find some kind of containers to repurpose into coaster holders?
I have one on my night stand that my great grandma made forever ago and I think about her often when I use it.
Tracieon 11 Aug 2010 at 7:08 am 2Theres a lady here that uses a really course yarn and then sells them for kitchen dish scrubbers. The ladies where I work go nuts for them when she brings them in (or brought – she may have passed)

Doryon 11 Aug 2010 at 9:27 am 4@Stacy – Hmmmm, great idea. Look for a set in your stocking!
@Tracy – Ohhhh cool! Dish scrubbers… who’d a thunk it? I have seen some with a very fine yarn used for face scrubbies.
@The Gaelic Wife – LOL I’m thinking perhaps YOU have tried that.
