Friday Face

We made the rounds of Millenium Park while in Chicago. I am not entirely sure I understand the attraction of the *bean* but it was kind of cool to look at. You know I have a preoccupation with finding faces everywhere though, so what appealed to me in the park was this:
See the water shooting out his mouth? The kids loved it… playing around in the shower! When we first walked up and saw the set of faces on these two big brick structures – appearing to stare at each other, I thought – “How bizarre! These weird faces just staring at each other!” The kids knew what was coming though and they got all excited, rushing to be in range of the water. I was so enthralled with watching the hub-bub, I failed to get a picture of the other face spitting water!

And then the faces went away and it changed to just water falling all along the top edge of the block building.

After a few moments of this, another image appeared:
You can see the kids (and some adults) getting hammered in the onslaught of water. What a cool treat in the 100* weather we’d had that week!

When I lived in Wisconsin I usually traveled to Chicago once a year. Love it in the winter and around Christmas time.
