Friday Five, 4th Edition

Posted by Dory @ Lucky Dorito on Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Wrapping up a week clustered with random events, I have the following odds and ends on my mind:

1. A patient told me this week that her teenage son said “Tell all them sweeter than peanut butter girls that I said hi and tell Dr T that I am glad he doesn’t have to stick his big truck-driving hands in my mouth today.” :)   How funny is that?

2. Beebo took my copy of “Twilight” to school this week because she’s been reading it. Someone stole it right off her stack of books. Good grief! What is the world coming to?

3. I made Taco Soup using the same exact recipe that I always use and yet, it was MUCH BETTER than usual. How can that be?

4. Where do all those missing socks from the dryer really GO? And will they ever come back?

5. I heard Michael J. Fox say on GMA this week that he always tells his kids this one thing, so much that they say, “Oh Dad!” in exasperation at him and roll their eyes. He tells them, “Choose to be happy.”

Wow. So little and yet…. so much. From now on… I want to choose to be happy.

Don’t you?

Ya’ll have a great weekend…. I’m outta here til Monday!

To odd and end #4. I think the dryer eats half of them and I probably borrow the other half. :)

I love Michael J. Fox. He’s always seemed so nice and normal…this proves it. Life would be better for all of us if we followed his advice to his kids.

Hmm… I need to work at ‘choosing to be happy’…. I do need some of that!

Oh..I really like #5. I try to tell my boyz before they go out anywhere to “Make Good Choices”. I like to think it makes them think about where they are going and what they are doing there.

I love your 5. I am sad that someone stole the book. I hope that they have a guilty conscience and returns it!

I tell my husband that all the time…You need to choose happiness. It doesn’t just walk up and ask you to dance.

I choose happy over sad, but it is not always easy.

    Hello my blogging friend

I agree I choose to be happy even though God know that it is hard sometimes :)
Hope all is good with you and your family… by the looks of your photos it looks so :)

    Hugs to you
