Friday Five, 8th Edition
Posted by Dory @ Lucky Dorito on Friday, September 25th, 2009
Some days I feel like I am just muddling through…. just hoping to get through it, you know? And then all of a sudden, something happens to make me realize how totally lame and selfish that is.
Why am I short-changing myself like that?
I have so much to be thankful for in this life.
How dare I waste it…. how dare I think so little of it that I just muddle my way through the day?
Five Things for which to be THANKFUL:
I am thankful for my family. My husband whom I adore. My daughters that are kind and beautiful and precious. My sisters. My mom. My mother in law. My brothers- and sisters-in-law. I am a blessed woman to have all these people to love and who love me back.
I am thankful for my best friend. She is my prayer partner, my confidante, my shoulder to cry on, my laugh-til-it-hurts-friend, my yo yo homey girl. (And she is the only one I expect to get that joke.)
I am thankful for the roof over my head, food on the table and clothes to wear.
I am thankful for our jobs – in a time when so many are suffering from a loss of income.
I am thankful that I woke up with more health than illness. Even if I have to continue to look like this all weekend:

I am so glad you stopped and took time to “count your blessings”. That is something I need to do more often. Thanks for the reminder.

Beccaon 25 Sep 2009 at 11:25 am 3We all have much to be thankful for, we just have to look around us at those who love us, and if we start there, I am sure our lists would be endless!
