Full moon in the kitchen

Have you ever done something so completely random that you shocked your kids…. and maybe even yourself a little?
One day a few years ago, my daughters and I were in the kitchen, talking as we prepared dinner. We’d seen or heard something on the television that we were loosely chatting about while we worked. Somehow the conversation came around to why they called it *being mooned* when someone showed their bare bottom. I was laughing while I tried to explain it – thinking how funny it is that we take the names of things for granted without ever really wondering WHY we call it this or that.
Next thing you know, I dropped my britches and *mooned* them!
They laughed until I thought they’d cry. And…. they’ll never let me live it down!
