Magic Sleeping Blankie

This past November when Lena and I went on a shopping trip for the weekend, I made fun of her taking her favorite blankie with her to sleep with each night. She kept telling me how fabulous and wonderful it was and I just laughed at her. She said that she calls it her “magic sleeping blankie” because anytime she covers up with it, she falls asleep!
The first night we were at the hotel, as she came out of the bathroom and laid down, I went in to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. When I came out a few minutes later, she was all snuggled up on her bed under her magic sleeping blankie with her eyes closed.
I thought she was faking.
I leaned down right near her and said, “Yoooooooo hooooo…….. Heeeellllllllooooooooooooooo?”
No response.
I said, “Gosh. It really must be magic. You’ve been there, what? 5 minutes?”
Still no response.
I was just trying to make her laugh if she was faking but she was SERIOUSLY asleep.
At Thanksgiving, I waited until she was in the other room and I snatched it off the back of the couch to give it a test drive for a bit.
When I woke up an hour later, I said…. “I have GOT to get one of those!”
Needless to say, while I was out Christmas shopping, I ended up buying one for myself.
I later ordered one for my friend Shannon because if ANYone needs some help sleeping, she does! Might as well let her try it out too.
And I got another one for me….. in case I ever need a back up, you know.
So now…. in an effort to spread the magic – they are on SALE now and I thought ya’ll might need one too. Go here and check ‘em out!
My girls knew I love it so much that they got me slippers and eye mask to match for Christmas. I can’t BELIEVE I’m posting this silly pic but…. here’s the whole shebang in one image – the girls made me pose so I could send a pic to Shannon. Don’t fall out of your chair laughing.
P.S. By the way, guess you now see who the slippers belong to from the game the other day!

Maybe we should just let them keep ‘em! Glad you ladies found your “buddies” (as they’re known in our house) and reconnected with your childhood.
