Not gonna….
Posted by Dory @ Lucky Dorito on Tuesday, April 13th, 2010
I made a decision that I was not going to blog about the things that are in my mind…only because it would be really ugly. And rather unnecessary.
I mean, really…. you don’t need to hear about work issues – the way our esteemed employer decided to take our bonuses away last year because we’d gone through some slow times in the business, and there wasn’t enough production. Or so that was the story. Even though we’ve been swamped for months and months now and yet, no sign of bonuses returning.
I probably don’t need to tell you about having access to internet taken away from us at work because a few bad apples brought in viruses…so the whole office was punished. You really don’t need to know that, do you? It’s not like anyone had time to sit around and read blogs or play gamesĀ much….but it sure was nice to be able to pay a bill or two online between patients. And check my email every now and then. But, you don’t need to hear that complaint.
So, with that being said, I suppose I also don’t need to tell you that some idiot at my office decided to have the construction guy that’s been working on some remodeling issues wall over the small pass-thru window between the back where we work and the front office area. Which was the only place we could peek through to the large waiting room window to see if it was raining or if the sun was shining. Now it’s like working in a cave, never knowing what is happening outside until we leave for lunch. Why did they want this closed, you ask? I have no idea. Chalk it up to thoughtless inconsideration, I suppose.
But…. you really don’t need to hear me complain about that either.
Or that when I asked the boss man WHY in the world he let them do it he acted like a tee-total jerk about it. With a capitol J.
J.E.R.K.
Let’s just say…. I have been in a very GRUMPY mood. I don’t know WHY in the heck I continue to work here when it makes me so unhappy. Some days it is just not worth it. If you’re the praying type, please pray for some guidance and direction. I am very discouraged and disheartened right now.
So…. when I can think of something nice to say, I’ll be back to my regular blogging of nonsense.

Shannonon 13 Apr 2010 at 10:10 am 1You know I have and will be praying for you. And if you need me too, I’ll drive up there and kick their butts if they aren’t nicer to you. (I’ll bring a step stool of course!
I love you my sweet friend!
Beccaon 13 Apr 2010 at 10:19 am 2Blocking access to seeing what is happening just seems so counterproductive! I hope that you find the peace of mind that you are seeking, my friend. Sending up prayers and positive thoughts for you.
Hugs..
Dory @ Lucky Doritoon 13 Apr 2010 at 10:36 am 3Good point Becca….and one I forgot to mention: we can’t see what patients are sitting in the waiting room…. so if the front office people get busy and fail to notice someone come in….they could sit out there forever. Sheesh.
Vonnieon 13 Apr 2010 at 1:44 pm 4So sorry Dory. We have had changes here at work that in the past that really upset everyone. I do have some idea of what you are going through. Sometimes the boss(es) seem to want to remind everyone of who is in charge. Yucky. I will ask for a peaceful heart and mind for you all in my prayers.
Jeanon 13 Apr 2010 at 2:22 pm 5Just remember the steps of a good woman are ordered by the Lord.. Maybe He’s working something out in you!! Just keep a good attitude of gratefulness, and dependance on Him to change the atmosphere in the office, and He will.. Praying for you that it improves greatly!!
hugs,
Jean
wahzaton 13 Apr 2010 at 3:13 pm 6sending you hugs and keeping you in my prayers. And I second what Jean said
Stacyon 13 Apr 2010 at 4:31 pm 7I am so sorry that you are struggling with work. I am sure that the only reason you continue to ork there is because of the relationships you have with your patients. I know how much you care about each and every one of them. I can’t imagine working where there are no windows. I will pray for you. And if you need me to, I’ll join Shannon in some butt kicking…lol
Stacyon 13 Apr 2010 at 4:32 pm 8-ps: Get back to the regular blogging nonsense soon
Jenon 13 Apr 2010 at 6:10 pm 9This really sucks. When you figure that people spend 1/3 (or more) of their lives at work, it is torture to be miserable like you describe.
I hope change comes soon for you. You’ll be in my prayers.

Lenaon 13 Apr 2010 at 9:39 pm 10I’m sorry things at work are bad. I hope you find peace about what’s going on very soon ……. Or, … Shannon & Stacy can count me in on the butt kicking! Love u sis
Tracieon 13 Apr 2010 at 10:06 pm 11Ya, I know, that’s another reason why I haven’t blogged much in awhile – i’m afraid if ya’ll heard all the grumpiness rambling around in my head you’d never come back
Chrison 14 Apr 2010 at 8:22 am 12Suck. I’ll be praying.
