Monday night, after a long day at work, I rushed home to take the girls to a Board of Education meeting being held in the middle school library. Luby’s 4th grade class was to do a partial repeat performance of their presentation from a few weeks ago in front of the Board members. Luby ran off to get with her class while Beebo and I found a little corner to stand in and watch.

What we hoped would only be a 30 to 40 minute thing turned into quite a long night. The longer I stood there, the hungrier I got, the more slap-happy I got, and the more giggly I got.

Needless to say, when Beebo leaned over and whispered the following statement: “She bores me with her words”, speaking of a former teacher, I darn near lost it. It wasn’t the  nicest thing she’d ever said about someone, but after 5 minutes of listening to an extremely monotone voice, I totally understood.(No offense intended to my teacher friends!)

Everyone around us looked back at me as I covered my mouth to stifle the giggles. Whoopsie daisy. I sure hate being the disruptive one while my kids are being relatively good.
