On the road again

At the butt-crack of dawn this fine Saturday morning, my friend Angie and I headed off to meet up with my sister Lina and we’re off in the land of outlet malls and wholesale jewelry markets. 
Normally this would be great fun – and although, I haven’t hated it by any means…. there has been quite a black cloud hanging over my mind.
It’s frustrating when you find yourself in a place a million miles from where you want to be. When you want to be where you could hold someone’s hand that needs you or offer my shoulder or just sit in comfortable silence together. I can pray endlessly, from here, from anywhere – and that is a good thing. But…. I want to be able to DO something more when I’m needed. It frustrates me when I can’t.
That sounds cryptic to you, huh? I don’t mean it to be. I just wish today that I could be THERE instead of here.
But, you know that already, don’t you?
