Playing catch-up

I don’t know if I’ll ever get caught up.

We went out of town last weekend to visit my MIL. Mr. Lucky’s brother and his family also came in for the weekend – the plan was for the guys to work on repairing a section of water-damaged floor in the laundry room while the rest of us goofed off. Sounds like my kind of plan! :P

The water damage was fairly extensive – the guys might have been a wee bit surprised to find themselves standing in the crawlspace below the house:

They ended up taking all of that drywall above where they are standing off and it will all need to be replaced, along with the floor. Needless to say – one weekend to do all that just wasn’t enough. So… we’ll be going back this weekend. :)

The rest of us were entertained by going to the circus:

And a little trip to the park:

All in all, a great weekend! We came home exhausted but looking forward to next weekend! (Well, Mr. Lucky might not be as excited – he’s got a lot of work ahead of him!)

    And you didn’t say the M word! I am so proud of you! :-) Water damaged sounds so much more innocous! The circus looked like it was fun!
