Saying Goodbye

Of all the hundreds of pictures I have of Angie and myself over the years, this is the only one on my laptop:

Saying “Goodbye” to you is going to be soooo hard.
But, I know in my heart of hearts,
it’s not really “goodbye”….
It’s more of a “See you later, dear friend”
because I know you’re in Heaven.
And someday I’ll see you again.
That brings such a peace to my heart, even as it feels heavy.
But I shall miss you all the days I have left.
I love you, Angie.
