Lucky Dorito

It amazes me how the dogs manage to sleep all night long and then still manage nap the day away. I love to sleep but … my goodness, not like these two girls. From the looks of them, you’d think they had put in a hard days work, wouldn’t you?

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We’ve been doing some yard work (blecht), some housework (blecht), and rewarded ourselves by watching some movies (yippee!). Today I plan to do laundry, wash the dogs and the vehicles, supervise more yard work (to make sure Mr. Lucky doesn’t get overly enthusiastic with the chainsaw and take down all the trees), get groceries and get busy going through the stuff that’s been in storage (blecht). I hope to find myself napping like the dogs at some point this afternoon. But, hopefully,  if I can keep from doing any more stupid things – it’ll be a productive day.

As for stupid things – I bought a cooling fan for under my laptop. It works great and I really like it. All except for the valuable lesson I learned and am going to share with you: I highly recommend that you do NOT reach blindly under it for the little stand because…. if, by chance, you accidentally stick your thumb into the fan, it grinds to a screeching halt and can instantly slice through your fingernail down to the quick, and beyond. It will happen so quickly that it’ll take you a moment to realize what happened. And then you’ll have to find the clippers to trim the ugly remains of your thumbnail. And then your thumb will throb for hours to remind you of your stupidity.

I know one thing for sure …. I will NOT be touching the chainsaw Mr. Lucky has been using this weekend.
