StickY KeYs

I was chatting with Shannon on IM the other night and she was having trouble with a particular letter on her keYboard not showing up as she tYped. It was sticking and just would not appear. We were laughing about all the words she would not be able to write correctlY without this particular letter. (AnY guess what letter it is?)
Since then, I’ve had this rambling thought in mY head about it. Sometimes I feel like that stickY keY. Just…
stuck.
In a rut.
Bogged down.
Lethargic.
I’m not necessarilY feeling that waY right now, this moment - but I certainlY have at times.
So my question for You is this: What do You do to overcome the feeling of being stuck? What kick starts You back into action?

Beebo had a wonderful birthday - thanks for all your well wishes! We went out to eat and then home for presents and cake! Except, well…. we were all too stuffed from dinner for cake so we’ll do that tonight! She got a few little things and one big thing! A Wii! She’d played on one several times, with friends and recently in Texas with Madison - so when I found out I had a co-worker that had one she was getting ready to sell on eBay (it was a whim purchase by her fiance, they decided they needed the money for wedding and honeymoon expenses more then they needed a Wii) I snatched it up! We all made little Wii Mii’s (people that look sorta like us) and played until nearly midnight!
I added the pic only b/c my husband kept saying, “My wii mii really LOOKS like me!” lol
Saturday, the celebration continues for Beebo! Her *party* is going to be a few other girls and mine going to a movie and out to eat pizza! Summer birthdays are hard to plan when nearly everyone she knows is out of town on vacation or camp. Small and simple is good though, right?

I haven’t had the opportunity to play on the Wii yet. Will have to give it a try one of these days.
Tracieon 09 Jul 2008 at 11:11 am 2That is a very good question, and one that I am currently and desperately looking for an answer. Just add frustrated to the list and you’ve got me to a T.
Love the Wii Mii’s! Very Cute!!
Beccaon 09 Jul 2008 at 11:50 am 3I am not stuck so much as in perpetual kick back mode this summer. Is that a bad thing?
megon 09 Jul 2008 at 1:20 pm 4Sam would do almost anything for a Wii~ even Chris has been asking about the cost of one

Fortunately, it’s been a while since I’ve really been in a rut, but usually take a class- a seminar or a short course- or take a trip someplace new

Getting out of a rut is tricky for me…what snaps me out of it seems to change every time depending on what the rut is about. Books are often involved though

Shannonon 10 Jul 2008 at 8:04 am 7His wii mii does look exactly like him! How fun!
When I’m feeling stuck- what usually helps me to feel better is to stop thinking about my own life and my own issues and problems and instead focus on someone else. Helping or serving someone always, always, always makes me feel better and put things into perspective!
