Sunday Seven

You know you’ve been away from your blog too long when your 12 year old daughter tells you that you NEED TO POST something. 
I was sitting here thinking…. where did the week go?
So here’s my list of Seven Things I did this week instead of Blogging:
1. I went off my allergy medications a week ago so that I could be allergy tested this past Wednesday. That was oodles of fun. NOT! By the time I arrived there on Wednesday, I had lost my voice due to an allergy flare-up and was basically miserable feeling with constant coughing and sneezing. Turns out I’m allergic to every tree, grass, weed, mold, yada yada…. which I sort of knew already based on the symptoms I have had for years. I’ll be starting allergy shots soon – hopefully I’ll get to the point some day that I won’t have to continue taking 4 different meds daily for allergy control. (Yes, that is my back, early on in the testing. Several more areas got really red and itchy after this was taken. But, thankfully – I have no food allergies!)
2. I have knitted 9 scarves this week for Christmas presents. Whew! And…. I’m not done yet.
3. I stood in line at WalMart at least ONCE each day this past week because I’m a bubble-head and can’t seem to get it all in ONE trip. Sheesh. Talk about a time-waster.
4. I have taken a gazillion pictures of useless and mundane things while playing with my new camera. I LOVE my new camera!
5. I cleaned out the garage. Again.
6. I once again changed a room in the house. It was Suki’s room-turned-guest-room-turned-den-turned-back into a guest room again. The room that was formerly Mr. Lucky’s office is now the den and I have a bed for my sweet friend Shannon next time she visits – which will be VERY SOON! 
7. I have finished Christmas shopping. Now…. I have to start wrapping.

Shannonon 20 Dec 2009 at 7:06 am 1I love it when Maddie tells me I need to post-it cracks me up she reads my blog. Those girls are too funny! If I had to go to that W store every day for a week, I would cry. Seriously cry.
Can’t wait to see the new guest room but wouldn’t have cared if I had to sleep on the floor or even Lillie’s bed if it meant I got to see you. Can’t wait sweet friend!

I worked at an allergist’s office for 4 years and did their intradermal skin testing. 108 shots was the average test, if I remember correctly. (Looks like you had at least that many!) I can only imagine how itchy and uncomfortable it was!
I sure hope your allergy shots help. They helped a lot of the patients I saw back then!
Are you and Shannon ringing in the New Year together? I am so happy you guys will be seeing each other soon!

Shannon will be here from the 26th to the 31st – she’ll be back home with her family by midday on New Year’s Eve.
