Texas is a big state

We left from Shannon’s yesterday and drove the rest of the way to San Antonio. It always amazes me when I’m here just how stinkin big Texas really is when you’re driving it. (When we crossed in on the east side, near Beaumont – there was a sign that said: El Paso 857 miles. WOW! That’s just across the state from east to west! Soooo glad El Paso was NOT our destination.)
Today we’re going out exploring… I’m sure I’ll come back with about a gazillion pictures.

This cutie was part of the mural in the restaurant. Isn’t it fantastic? So lifelike, makes me miss my dogs.
