Thirteen Random Words that Crack Me UP!
If you’ve never checked out the Pseudodictionary site, you should. It is hilarious! Below are my favorite pseudowords that just happen to be exactly the words I needed to describe things in my life but I never knew what they were!!!
1. abbamatically – The tendency for an unbearably cloying song to repeat over and over in your head all day after hearing it on the radio. (Today it’s “When the moons in the sky like a big pizza pie, that’s amore….” )
2. babblegram – A long rambling voice-mail message. (Guilty. I leave these sometimes.)
3. daddy-look – Searching for something in a half-hearted manner. A habitual token or cursory glance most often used when looking for articles of a child’s clothing. (My husband does this all the time. Makes me crazy.)
4. debubbletize – To pop all the air out of your bubble wrap. (It’s a sickness. I can’t quit until they are all flat.)
5. g’eet – Southern coloquialism of “Did ya eat?” (Um. Well. Guilty again.)
6. yipindeedy – Like yes and indeed, only better. (What can I say? I talk weird.)
7. beachin’ it – Seeking refuge or release by going to the beach; also synonymously used to describe that one is doing (or planning on doing) absolutely nothing: relaxing, zoning, etc. (Ohhh this is ME. I love beachin’ it!)
8. backblog – Overflow of incidents you intend to write about on your blog. (I have a big *blogfodder ideas* folder. And I never seem to get around to it.)
9. backblogarrythmia – A disruption in the regular flow of blog posts, often caused by overwork, booze, or a new romance. Primary symptom is the backblog, which in turn can exacerbate the problem through increased levels of performance stress. (Not one for boozing it and no new romances for this old married woman…. guess that leaves *overworked*.)
10. blogache – The feeling a blogger gets when she’s blogged too much and needs a rest, but still feels the urge to update her blog. (lol…. Another sickness, I suppose.)
11. blogogler – People who read blogs but refuse to start one themselves. Those fringe readers who lurk, post comments that clearly indicate that they have something to say, but refuse to come into the light. (I was one of these. And then I started blogging…. but I still lurk quite a bit. What is up with that?)
12. blogstipation – A painful and sometimes disabling condition whereby the excitement of setting up one’s blog is replaced with the inability to find anything remotely interesting to blog about. (If you’re reading this, you know I occasionally suffer from blogstipation. Which is nearly as bad as the opposite ailment – bloggiarrhea – which is excessive blogging of nothing but crap.) (Ok, I made that last part up – I don’t think it’s a pseudodictionary word.) (Maybe it should be.)
13. blogvy – Envy of someone else’s superior blog. (I don’t really envy anyone’s blog – maybe their writing ability though.)
