Twisted Tuesday

Posted by Dory @ Lucky Dorito on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

This is all that’s left.

The girls and I have some ideas for what we’re going to do with these slices of the tree.

But I’m open to suggestions…. got any?

(It’s easy to see just how rotted the tree was in the biggest pieces. Wow.)

They don’t look to thick. You could use one of them as a center piece arrangement, like to put candles on and fall things on. Sealing it would make the wood grain show up good.

All I can think of is bar stools. LOL. I am so NOT creative!

They are about 2 to 3 inches thick. And I will definitely seal them, once they dry out.

    Jen! lol…. they’d be….. ummm…. hard bar stools! :P

I have seen them made into clocks. A suggestion for the girls. Someone in our 4-H group painted a tic tac toe grid, sealed them and used rocks fo 2 different colors to play. Have fun with whatever you do with them!

How about doing some sort of artistic painting on them? Let the imagination run wild..fairies, gnomes, who knows the random lightening bolt? ;-)

Well there are five slices and five of you. I see each of you designing your own, sealing them and placeing them like stepping stones in a garden area.

I’m thinking it would make a cute side table top or you could attach a lazy susan to the bottom of one and use it on you table. I also like the stepping stone idea!

Here’s another for the stepping stone idea!

Be sure to tell us what you finally decide to do with them.

Right now they are still sitting on the front porch – exactly as they appear in this picture. They have to dry out before we can do anything so this seemed as good a place as any. lol

Yes, you might be a redneck if …. :P
