In a few hours, we leave for camping.
I have quite mixed emotions about this whole excursion – parts of it I know will be fun. Like maybe the ‘eating” part. (hehe) But, the bugs and the possible rain or the inevitable heat are things I’m not exactly looking forward to.
Let’s look at it this way though – it will potentially be chock-full of blog fodder, right? In the meantime, hopefully I’ll be able to tweet about it – if I have cellular service.

Vonnieon 29 May 2009 at 10:44 am 3Ok Dory I am the odd ball here…we have camped every summer, multiple times, since our youngest was in diapers! That’s the last 19 yrs now. Started tenting and have moved up slightly to a pop up camper.We’re getting too old to sleep on the ground. It has been an affordable way to have mini vacations when our kids were growing up. We have loads of memories and stories to tell! Even the not so good times are retold around a campfire and we can laugh.

Jeanon 29 May 2009 at 1:33 pm 4I’ve always LOVED camping! Can’t do it anymore, but it’s always been fun. Have a great time, and eat a big ol’ breakfast cooked over an open fire, and think of us! Nothin’ tastes better than a good breakfast cooked in cast iron over a campfire!! Enjoy it!

I love the outdoors, but I hate bugs. I scream like a girl if even a grasshopper jumps on me!
